About me
Hi! Thanks for visiting the blog. I'm James Connelly - Power Platform Technical Lead & Platform owner at Network Rail.
I'm responsible for the whole of the Power Platform at NR, including... Enterprise strategy, solution architect for critical solutions, technical admin, citizen developer community running, overseeing an internal and offshore pro dev team.
My background was full stack development and just before COVID ruined everything (and my birthday plans to Vegas) in 2020, I found the Power Platform, along with my colleague Ben Atherton.
I'm a Power Champion and enjoy solving problems, presenting, speaking to other customers and eating chicken (only at Chicken George, Bedford).

In January 2021 I suffered a brain haemorrhage after an accident which has impacted me ever since including my vision, memory and brain processing. I also suffered a neuro-spinal issue where I was told I may never walk again properly or sit up right properly. In April 2024 I will be running the London Marathon to raise awareness regarding the long term impact of head injuries and raising money for the head injury charity 'Headway' who supported me throughout.
